3D Printing for Biology

SAU Library and the Biology Department

SAU Library's IDEAlab and the Biology Department have teamed up to offer students the opportunity to study through 3D printing. These models and filaments have been chosen by the Biology Department, but any SAU Library patron is able to make a request for these objects.

Request Process for Biology 3D Printing

Requesting a 3D Print for Biology is a little different than requesting other 3D print productions. Since the models and filaments have been chosen by the Biology department, most of the questions we need to ask for other 3D prints aren't necessary!

1. Submit your request to the form

2. Wait and collect

  • 3D print productions are usually complete and ready for pickup within 1 week of request submission
  • Demand may vary and cause delays. You'll get an email within two days of submitting your request with an estimated completion date.
  • You will get an email when your 3D print is ready for pickup at the circulation desk on the first floor of the Library
